In 1952, Guillermo Wright Vallarino, an Ecuadorian entrepreneur, opened "Bodega La Favorita" in the Historic Center of Quito. It was a store that specialized in selling soaps, candles, and imported goods.
With a vision to provide quality products and excellent service, Guillermo's "Bodega La Favorita" quickly gained popularity among the locals. The store's humble beginnings in the heart of Quito marked the inception of what would later become a significant retail corporation known as "Corporación Favorita."
